It includes the latest scientific news, future SRUK/CERU events and interviews with Spanish researchers, serving as the perfect platform to reach and inspire the general public. The content of the podcast is generated in Spanish.
SRUK/CERU initiatives are brought to life thanks to over 125 volunteers organised in various committees.
1, 2, 3… Explore! is the blog of the Society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom (SRUK/CERU). The SRUK/CERU Blog started in 2016, with the aim to disseminate the research of our members to the public, even though now we are also collaborating with both SRUK/CERU members and non-members. In that way, our readers can learn more about different interests and opinions in diverse scientific fields. At the moment, the SRUK/CERU is on hold until further notice. Please get in touch with the Outreach Department for any queries you may have.
The SRUK/CERU Evaluation committee evaluates internal SRUK/CERU grants such as the SRUK/CERU Professional Development Grants, the SRUK/CERU On the Move Grants, and the scientific proposals for the SRUK/CERU Annual Symposium, among others. In addition to internal affairs, the members of the SRUK/CERU Evaluation Committee also assist in the evaluation of scientific proposals from other organisations, such as the British Spanish Society scholarships.
The SRUK/CERU Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) advises the SRUK/CERU Executive Committee in scientific matters and participates in scientific evaluations such as the SRUK/CERU Emerging Talent Award. The SAB is composed of senior SRUK/CERU members in advanced stages of their scientific careers (Principal Investigators, Group Leaders, etc), or external researchers elected by the Executive Committee in recognition to their suitability — for example, if they have been recipients of the SRUK/CERU Merit Award.
