LGTBIQ+ Committee

The LGTBIQ+ Committee was created within the Equality, Diversity and Wellbeing Department with a twofold aim: to give visibility to research on issues related to the LGTBIQ+ community and to create interdisciplinary spaces for connection.

What do we do in the LGTBIQ+ Committee?

1. Promoting and giving visibility to events and studies that incorporate a queer or gender-diverse perspective, across any field, recognising that this lens can enrich the social sciences and humanities as much as the natural sciences and technology.
2. For the academic community: fostering spaces for reflection and dialogue on sexual and gender diversity in science, open to everyone, whether or not they identify as part of the community.

We want to hear your ideas and welcome anyone who wants to contribute, whether with time, proposals or simple curiosity. If this speaks to you, we’d love to hear from you.
