Involvement in SRUK/CERU

Berta works in software development applied to research at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew (London).

Academically, she is a biologist with a PhD in Plant Physiology – she studied how plants use zinc to cope with fungal diseases -. She also has a MSc in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (her master’s thesis consisted of a data processing pipeline and a machine learning algorithm to classify tree species) and is currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering.

She has been an active member of SRUK.CERU since she moved to the country in 2018, collaborating in an array of activities, including the direction of the London Constituency (Nov. 2020-2022).
