Finally! These are the 12 finalist photographs selected by our external panel of judges. They are the eligible candidates with the 12 higher composite scores, obtained by adding up the scores in each of the following categories:

• Originality and artistic character of the image (0-10)
• Technique and quality of the photograph (0-10)
• Research communication conveyed by the photograph, title and description (0-10)

The finalist 2024 photographs have composite scores >85*! The maximum composite score was 116*!

*Maximum composite score could have been 150 (5 experts, 3 categories, score in each category up to 10).

Important Dates

June 20^th: Deadline to VOTE for your favorite finalist photograph.

June 22^nd: Closure event and announcement of the 4 winners during the SRUK/CERU 11^th International Symposium in Newcastle.

4 prizes in different categories!

There are 4 prizes, three for the winning photographs in each category chosen by the Panel of Experts, and a fourth prize for the most popular finalist photograph voted by SRUK/CERU members.

The 12 finalist photographs will be published on the SRUK/CERU website, exhibited at the annual symposium and future SRUK/CERU events, and used to create the annual SRUK/CERU calendar!
