María Pin Nó

After graduating in Chemistry from the Universitat de Barcelona, I moved to Paris where I did my Masters on Molecular Chemistry at Paris 6 (Université Pierre et Marie Curie). From 2012 to 2016, I worked in my PhD under the supervision of Dr. Christophe Aïssa at the University of Liverpool studying the catalysed cycloisomerisation of dienes. Now, I am a KTP Associate of the University of Nottingham and Cornelius Specialties, a manufacture company in Suffolk. My role is to scale up and commercialise the products previously developed at the university. We are synthesising plastics from renewable sources to substitute the more common petrol based ones. I have been a member of SRUK since 2015 and an active member of the Northwest working group from early 2017 until I moved to the Cambridge working group.
