Involvement in SRUK/CERU

I studied Chemistry at University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) and I specialized in chemistry of porous inorganic materials at Pompeu Fabra University and at the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2), where I did my Master in Research degree. After researching in Manchester, Bilbao, Barcelona, Tarragona and Warwick, I ended in Birmingham. Currently, I am doing a PhD in Chemistry at University of Birmingham (UoB) alongside the Institute of Microbiology and Infection (IMI). My research is focused on the development of new silica-based drug delivery systems against resistant bacteria infections. Since I arrived to Birmingham I know SRUK/CERU and I am part of the Working Group of the Midlands constituency since mid 2022. SRUK/CERU has allowed me to meet people that are going through the same experiences and to built a network of support. Meeting for some ´cañas´ and chatting about life is also a great reason to join SRUK/CERU!
