Alex Arrese-Igor Royuela

I obtained my BSc in Biochemistry from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and went on to undertake the MSc in Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Edinburgh, therefore moving to the UK in September 2020. After successfully graduating from my MSc, I started my PhD in mammalian synthetic biology in the Cachat group (part of the UK Centre for Mammalian Synthetic Biology) which I am still undertaking. In 2023 I became a member of SRUK/CERU for the Scotland constituency, and I am now Secretary of the constituency. In parallel, I am member of #EnFaseExperimental, SRUK/CERU’s radio initiative.

Tras graduarme de Bioquímica de la Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea (UPV/EHU) en septiembre de 2020 me mude a Edimburgo a cursar el máster en Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology. Tras graduarme, empecé el doctorado que aun desarrollo en el área de biologia sintetica de mamíferos, como parte del Cachat group (parte del UK Centre for Mammalian Synthetic Biology). En 2023 me convertí en miembro de SRUK/CERU en Escocia, y ahora soy Secretario de la región. En paralelo, soy miembro de #EnFaseExperimental, la iniciativa de radio de SRUK/CERU
