Cancer is one of the main causes of mortality. In the UK each year there are around 375,000 new cases, this is approximately 1,000 cases per day. Conscious of the very strong network of cancer research scientists and partners we count with in SRUK/CERU, we would like to invite all SRUK members to talk about their research and learn first-hand about the latest developments in the field.
SRUK/CERU Cancer Symposium: connecting Spanish cancer researchers in the UK will be a unique opportunity to show the quality of the research carried out by Spaniards in the UK organized by SRUK Cancer Committee in collaboration with the SRUK Midlands constituency on the 3rd of December in the city of Birmingham.
If you are a SRUK/CERU member you can also apply for a microgrant TO COVER PART OF YOUR TRAVEL ( Application through Member Zone). If you wish to become a member you can do it here too. But note that the symposium and abstract submission is open for EVERYONE!
The price of your ticket to be covered by SRUK will be determined based on the following percentages*:
*If your open return ticket costs £40, SRUK will cover 60 % of the price; SRUK will reimburse you £24. Please note that we highly recommend you to book your train tickets in advance and to avoid 1st class tickets if you want to claim for a microgrant. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to write to the cancer committee ([email protected])
