Spanish researchers abroad: building bridges to further the future of science in Spain

On the 25 June 2015 in the School of Education, University Complutense of Madrid the nine societies of Spanish scientists abroad have gathered to set the bases to form a federation that will incorporate all of them which objective will be to contribute to increase and improve the importance of science, technology and innovation in Spanish researchers abroad: building bridges to further the future of science in Spain

1st Researchers in the Pub in Oxford

The first SRUK meeting in Oxford took place on 24th October in the historic pub King´s Arms, with the attendance of 15 people. More info

Roundtable: “Women and Science”

Last Tuesday 17th June, the Spanish Embassy in London in collaboration with the SRUK organized a roundtable titled “Women and Science”, where the discussion addressed the difficulties women face to progress in their academic career to senior positions. More info

Workshop in Cambridge: “Academia & Industry”

IV Pint of Knowledge Cambridge – “The Chemistry of Peptides: small proteins fighting big diseases”

On the 9th of April, Albert Isidro Llobet, medicinal chemist at the Pharmaceutical Industry and former post-doctoral researcher at the University of Cambridge, brought SRUK/CERU researchers and public together to discuss the Chemistry of Peptides at the Panton Arms in Cambridge. More info

Last 27th of March, the Society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom (SRUK/CERU) gathered at Imperial College London a panel of lead-experts to discuss on the past, present and future of science publication.
