Beatriz Castejón Vega graduated in Biochemistry from the Universidad de Sevilla (2014) and then, she obtained a Master’s Degree in Biology and Cancer Clinics in Universidad de Salamanca (2015). She is currently finishing her PhD in Health Science at the Universidad de Sevilla. Beatriz has been doing a 7 month-research stay in the University of Bristol under the supervision of Dr. Jon Lane. Her research focus on elucidating the molecular mechanisms of two rare diseases called Tay-Sachs and Sandhoff with the view of finding treatments to stop them.
