The SRUK/CERU Best Paper Awards 2026 celebrate outstanding research published by early-career members of our community.
Four awards of £250 each will recognise the best paper across four research areas:
- Biomedical & Life Sciences
- Engineering, Physical Sciences & Technology
- Social Sciences, Arts & Humanities
- Environment, Earth & Sustainability
The awards are open to Regular SRUK/CERU members who are first or co-first authors of an original peer-reviewed paper published between 1 November 2025 and 31 October 2026. Second authors may also apply when the first author is not a SRUK/CERU member. Interdisciplinary research is very welcome.
Applications are open from 5 to 31 October 2026, with winners announced in December.
In addition to the £250 prize, winners will have the opportunity to present their research to the SRUK/CERU community and share their work through the SRUK/CERU blog and social media channels.
