Co-Head of the Science Policy Department
I am a PhD researcher in Physics at King’s College London, where my research focuses on the theory and simulation of the intrinsic limits of electronic transport in novel quantum materials. I am originally from Málaga, Spain, and moved to the UK in 2019 to study an MPhys in Theoretical Physics at the University of Manchester, where I graduated with first-class honours. During my time there, I also served as Co-President of the Physics Society.
At King’s College London, I am a Graduate Teaching Assistant and an active member of the Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences community. I co-organise a peer-led cross-disciplinary research discussion series for postgraduate researchers and early-career researchers, designed to create informal spaces for accessible research talks, professional development, and networking across departments.
Across these experiences, one common lesson I have taken is the value of collaboration, dialogue, and mutual understanding. This is what first drew me towards science policy and science diplomacy, particularly in the context of UK–EU relations after Brexit and the opportunities for Spain and the UK to learn from each other’s research cultures. I joined SRUK/CERU through the London constituency in 2025 and have since joined the Science Policy Department.
