I was awarded a PhD in Biomedical Science in 2013 by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain). Following the completion of my PhD Thesis, I moved to the United Kingdom. Since then, I have lived in London and worked as a Biomedical Scientist in Clinical Research, planning and monitoring a wide range of phase I and phase II clinical trials. At the same time, I specialised in Flow Cytometry working in both, immunology and oncology. I worked as a Senior Flow Cytometrist at BARTS Cancer Institute – Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and am currently working in cancer immunotherapy at the University College London (UCL) Cancer Institute, conducting multiple Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T-cell assays that enclosed different disease indicators and patient populations, along with different T-cell sources (allogeneic/autologous) and a diverse range of manufacture methodologies.
