I graduated in Veterinary at the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2017 where I developed my interest for research in the field of animal behaviour and neuroscience. After completing veterinary, I enrolled as a PhD student in the International Doctorate School at the same University in the department of Anatomy, Animal Production and Clinical Sciences Veterinary. My research focuses on the study of the olfactory system neuroanatomy and chemical communication mediated by pheromones in mammals. I’m currently doing a research stay in the UK, first at the University of Bristol and afterwards at King’s College London. Both are related to neuroscience and animal welfare. I’ve been a member of SRUK/CERU since February 2018 and I also joined the Press Department in April 2018. I’m extremely interested in science communication as a tool to engage general public and making them understand the complex concepts of modern science, even to those who are unaware and aloof about the basic questions in science.
