Involvement in SRUK/CERU

I obtained my BSc in Chemistry at the University of Malaga and my MSc in Organic Chemistry at the Complutense University of Madrid. Currently I am carrying out my PhD as a member of the Mendes’ group at the School of Chemical Engineering, University of Birmingham (UK). My research project consists in the development of a new methodology for the early detection of various types of cancer.

I am a member of CERU/SRUK since I arrived in the UK in 2019. In the beginning, I would only attend their events until, finally, I decided to be a part of The Midlands Constituency’s working group. Soon afterward, I became their treasurer and online manager to then be elected for the role of director of such constituency in October 2021.
