I am a senior postdoctoral researcher, currently working at Cardiff University. My main research interests focus on understanding cancer-associated regulatory networks to identify precise therapeutic strategies and companion diagnostics. Specifically, during my career I have engaged with research areas ranging from ovarian/prostate cancer, epigenetics, bioinformatics and drug discovery/development. I graduated as a Biotechnologist at the University of Salamanca (Spain) in 2012 and obtained an MSc in Molecular and Therapeutic Biotechnology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Spain) the year after. In 2014, I moved to the UK to start a PhD in Nanomedicine at Swansea University, which involved a two year stay at the Houston Methodist Research Institute in the United States. While completing my PhD, I worked as a Data Research Officer until I started my first postdoctoral role based at Swansea University (2019). At the beginning of 2024 I started my current position as senior postdoc based at Cardiff University. Here I will be working with Dr Helen B Pearson testing a brand new anti-BCL3 treatment against prostate cancer disease.
