Lola Villar Martínez

Involvement in SRUK/CERU

Lola graduated as a medical doctor from the University of Cadiz in 2014 and received her accreditation as a Neurology specialist from the University of La Laguna, Canary Islands, in 2019. She held a consultant neurologist position at University Hospital of Canary Islands and became a fellow of the European Board of Neurology. In late 2019, she joined the Headache Group in London as a clinical research fellow at King’s College Hospital.
Her current research interests are mainly clinical and include pathophysiology and treatment of headache and associated symptoms, movement disorders and Neuro-Otology. She recently started a PhD project on vestibular migraine, under Prof Peter Goadsby in King’s College London and Prof Adolfo Bronstein at Imperial College London and University College London Hospitals.
