My name is Julia and I am a member of CERU since September 2023. I am in my third year of my PhD at the Kennedy Institute, researching the maturation process of neutrophils, cells of the immune system, and their effect on autoimmune diseases.
During my PhD I have been part of several student committees, both at my college and at my institute, and I have organised social, academic and civic engagement events. Although I have only been at CERU for a few months, I have participated in many events, such as the Nobels for dummies, the Emerging Talent Ceremony, the welcome event in Oxford and the Science Communication Symposium in Manchester.
