Diego Ruiz Sanchis studied Biotechnology at the Technical University of Madrid (UPM), specialising in Computational Biology. He was awarded a “la Caixa” Foundation postgraduate fellowship to complete his MRes in Systems and Synthetic Biology at Imperial College London. He thenjoined the Imperial College Centre for Synthetic Biology, where he is currently pursuing his PhD. His research focuses on the development of genetic tools for the engineering of synthetic microbial communities.
