Involvement in SRUK/CERU

I completed my undergraduate studies in Industrial Electronic Engineering and Automation at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid followed by a Master’s in Biomedical Engineering. Moving to the University of Birmingham for my PhD, I focused on applying machine learning techniques to analyse electromyography and kinematic data for classifying neck pain within the Centre of Precision Rehabilitation for Spinal Pain.

Following a year as a Research Associate, where I explored visuo-motor skill learning in acute and chronic pain contexts, I am now a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Birmingham. My current research aims to identify biomarkers for predicting the prognosis of mild traumatic brain injury, with a particular focus on the vestibular system.
