Alejandro Martínez Jiménez is an associate researcher at the University of Kent. He started his career with a bachelor’s degree in Physics at the Universidad de Murcia, continued doing a Master’s in Photonics at the Universitat Politecnica de Cataluña and, finally, a PhD at the University of Kent. During his PhD, he worked on the “Next generation of tunable lasers” and the use of laser sources to improve the capabilities of optical imaging techniques, specifically in optical coherence tomography. During the last year as an associate researcher, he has also focused on new endoscopic systems.
