Adrián Pedrazo Tardajos

Involvement in SRUK/CERU

Adrián Pedrazo Tardajos is a scientist specializing in advanced electron microscopy and imaging techniques. After completing his MSc in Nanophysics and Advanced Materials at the Complutense University of Madrid, he worked at the Spanish National Centre for Electron Microscopy before moving to the University of Antwerp to pursue his doctoral research, followed by one year as a postdoctoral researcher. During this period, his work focused on developing ultraclean graphene-based applications for electron microscopy, as well as other advanced techniques such as tomography.

He is currently based at the Rosalind Franklin Institute on the Harwell Campus, where he develops and applies electron microscopy methods, including electron ptychography, tomography, and spectroscopy, to investigate complex biological systems.

In his free time, he enjoys cinema, hiking, and reading history books.
