2nd edition of Science-me a Story (2019)
After the great welcome and participation results of the 1st edition of Science-me a Story, we were very motivated to launch the 2nd edition. The 2nd edition opened on the 11th March 2019 and since that day until the 16th May 2019, we received 99 stories participating in the category of Spanish stories and 53 stories participating in the category of English stories, all of them coming from 33 countries!
Our amazing judges did then a very good work evaluating them, assessing not just the science, but also the language, style, age-adequacy and values. Finally, we ended up giving 4 prices for each category. The level was very high!
These were the winner stories in the Spanish category:
1st “Los descubrimientos de Melí” de Sonia Patricia Castellanos Jiménez.
2nd “El secreto de las chaquetas plateadas” de Magdalena I. Domper.
3rd “Ciencia de princesas” de Leticia Labat de Hoz.
3rd “Copep-mar y el globo verde” de Laura Ibáñez-Tejero.
And these were the winner stories in the English category:

We celebrated the Awards Ceremony on Saturday 9th November 2019 at the Instituto Cervantes in Manchester (M3 4UFN). During the ceremony, we had the pleasure to meet the winners and for the very first time to listen to scientific storytelling. We hosted Claire Culliford who adapted “The good inside us all” by Nicholas Edward Ilott to storytelling.
During Science-me a Story 2019 we also collaborated with the Spanish supplementary school “Nuestra Escuela Tandem Manchester”.
