Further Details
- The pre-assignment of student-supervisor pairs aims to streamline program management, with the primary goal of achieving the best possible student-supervisor match. The selection process will be based on academic criteria and insights gained from previous experiences at Spanish Universities in similar programs.
- Students must have full insurance coverage through their home University or private providers.
- The students applying for this studentship will be funded by the Erasmus+ programme.
- Upon the completion of the student placement, SRUK/CERU Researchers (hosts) are required to complete a survey about their experience with the program. SRUK/CERU will use this valuable feedback to keep improving the organisation of future calls of this programme. Additionally, hosts may receive invitations to engage in scientific outreach activities organised by SRUK/CERU, including events like Science in the Pub, Pint of Knowledge, or contributing to the SRUK/CERU Blog.
Student-Supervisor Matching
- SRUK/CERU will review the Hosting Group applications received and forward them to the participating institution: Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Science School).
- Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Science School) will allocate one student to each relevant supervisor and maintain a waiting list. They will align the supervisor’s expertise and requirements (including mobility duration, degree, and experience prerequisites) with the academic qualifications and willingness of the students.
- Hosting groups will have a 10-day window to interview the candidates before accepting to supervise one or more students. Specific dates for this process will be announced after the application deadline.
- In case any disagreements arose regarding the initial allocation, the UAM-SRUK/CERU will provide contact information for other students in the waiting list.
- Universities will carry out the final matching of candidates and supervisors and communicate the final outcomes to both the students and SRUK/CERU. SRUK/CERU will also maintain communication with the Hosting Group throughout this process.
