This series of talks are organised to provide tips on the different challenges that women face in their careers in Science.
From our committee, we are aware that women have to face different challenges in their career in Science. Sometimes these challenges are forcing women to leave their careers or to promote at much slower pace than the male-peers.
Through the experience of other women, we would like to provide some tips or strategies to follow to go over some of the most common challenges:
- Maternity in Science (25th November) https://sruk.org.uk/ceru-events/maternity-in-science/
- Challenges in Science for Women (16th December)https://sruk.org.uk/ceru-events/challenges-in-science-for-women/
- Women in job interviews. Common mistakes and tips (27th January 2022, probably in a pub in London, dependent of covid-19 cases)
In each session, two or three speakers will introduce the topic through their own experience. They will provide some tips or strategies that worked for them and we will have the opportunity to open a friendly dialogue to make comments on what we have learnt on the day.
We will need you to pre-register through Eventbrite to receive the Zoom link for each talk.
We invite you all to join us and to spread the word.
Raising awareness on the different difficulties and getting tips or strategies to sort them out is the first step to progress in your career.
We listen to you, we support you!
