Are you interested in understanding the Nobel Prizes but do you lack the background to do so? Then this event is for you!
The Oxford Constituency of the association of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom (SRUK) is delighted to invite you to an exciting outreach event revolving around the Physics, Medicine/Physiology, and Chemistry 2022 Nobel Prizes.
Our panelists will give short 15-20 min talks that will explain the Prizes of this year so everyone, regardless of their background, can understand the key points and the relevance. The presentations will be followed by questions from the public.
The afternoon will end with a social lunch hosted at The Oxford Retreat (downstairs), open to all those interested in continuing the conversation.

- Nobel Prizes Talks (11:45 – 13:15)
- Juan Rafael Alvarez Velasquez: Nobel Prize in Physics.
- Dr. Marta Pina: Nobel Prize in Physiology/Medicine.
- David Egea Arrebola: Nobel Prize in Chemistry.
- Lunch (13:30 – ).
A number of microgrants are available to cover part of the travel expenses of SRUK members attending this event on a first-come first-served basis. To obtain a microgrant, SRUK members should send an email to [email protected] with a question for the panel or a short text answering why you would like to attend this event (maximum length: 200 words) by Monday, 21st November 2022. The amount of the microgrants will be as follows:

- £0-30 // 50% covered
- £31-50 // 60% covered
- £51-80 // 65% covered
- £81-100 // 70% covered
- £101-130 // 75% covered
- £131-150 // 80% covered
