At this year’s London Welcome Party we are thrilled to hear more about you and your research. We will hold a pre-drinks Pitch your Research session to which all of our members are invited to submit a talk.
To participate as a speaker
This is a great opportunity to practice for your next symposium, find potential collaborations or just have fun. Come along and impress us with your abilities!
The order of events to participate as a speaker are the following:
- Drop us an email to [email protected] before the 23rd of October showing interest. Please include the following:
- Your name.Title of your talk (it doesn’t have to be definitive).Area of research (any area is more than welcome!).Your research institution.Your position.
- We will notify you once we receive your email.
- We may need to select a smaller number of applications if we receive too many. The selection will be made upon maximizing diversity in research topics and gender balance. We will contact you again with a confirmation of acceptance of your talk if selected.
- Prepare your talk. Talks must be in English and are limited to 5 minutes. Extract the essence of your research and try to make it engaging and memorable! You can bring any physical material to support your talk, but traditional screen presentations will not be allowed.
- The stage is yours! Do not forget to bring friends and colleagues along! The best pitch will be voted by the attendees and prizes will be awarded!
This event is open for anyone: friends, colleagues, anyone interested in research… you name it!
