For this 2020s Christmas Seminar, the SRUK London and Yorkshire Constituencies bring you the “Science & Cooking” Webinar.
This session will include as a short presentation from our two invited speakers, followed by a discussion/Q&A to reply all the questions and curiosities that may certainly arise.
For that, we have the pleasure to welcome Patricia Jurado González, who owns a degree in Culinary Sciences by the Basque Culinary Centre and who is now a teacher fellow and researcher of Science&Cooking at Harvard University. Our next speaker, David Santamaria Garcia, is a Quality and R&D specialist technician, and Master Brewer at Mahou San Miguel brewery. He has a degree in chemistry with a background of more than 15 years experience in beer and food industry.
They will discuss the differences and similarities of each other work fields about two elements that are very present in our daily lives, but from a different perspective: the economic and social context of its origins, the science behind it, the different manufacturing techniques and its evolution over time, among others.
