I’m originally from Sevilla where I obtained a degree in Biotechnology from University Pablo de Olavide. After obtaining a Master degree in Advanced Genetics from Autònoma de Barcelona University, I moved to Berlin to work as Editor-in-Chief for the digital media Labiotech.eu. Last September I got a PhD position in University of Edinburgh under the supervision of Dr. Maria Doitsidou. My research focuses on the study of dopaminergic neurons and the molecular pathways involved in neurodegeneration and neuroprotection using C. elegans as a model organism.
