Julian Gonzalez-Rubio

Involvement in SRUK/CERU

Julian Gonzalez-Rubio is a postdoctoral researcher at the Cambridge Stem Cell Institute, working under Prof. Sanjay Sinha and Prof. Madeline Lancaster (MRC-LMB) on the vascularisation of organoids using organ-on-chip platforms. Julian completed a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at CEU San Pablo University before moving to Germany to pursue an International Master’s in Stem Cell Biology at Ruhr University Bochum. He completed his PhD in the Respiratory Tissue Engineering group (BioTex department, RWTH Aachen University, Germany). Outside the lab, Julian enjoys films, books and video games. As part of the SRUK/CERU Cambridge Committee, Julian is keen to contribute to the Spanish-speaking scientific community by driving fundraising initiatives and helping researchers build connections across disciplines
