As a kick-off event marking the re-establishment of the SRUK/CERU North West & Yorkshire constituency, this initiative will bring together academics, regional stakeholders, diplomats, and members of the research community to explore the role of science diplomacy in fostering international collaboration. The event will focus on both the challenges and opportunities involved in building stronger connections between European representatives, universities, institutions, and local communities in the region.
🔎 Through a place-based approach to science diplomacy, discussions will highlight how scientific collaboration should not only happen in high-level policy spaces, but also be rooted in the geographical, cultural, and socio-economic realities of local communities.
If you are a SRUK/CERU member, you can apply for a microgrant in the Members’ Zone – Grants and Awards (note that it requires login). They are limited and they will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.
