Guildford is a lovely historical town in the heart of Surrey. Inhabited since the Mesolithic, it was chosen by the Vikings as a settlement, and medieval historic settings still remain scattered all over the town. Crossed by the river Wey and walk-friendly, it hosts a 12th century castle and charming pubs along the channel banks. Notably, it was Lewis Carroll’s sister home, where the author lived his last years (the town has dedicated a garden to the author in the castle grounds). The cathedral on the top of Guildford hill is well known by film fans for being the location of a chilling scene in “The Omen” movie.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about England’s history through its landscapes and architecture, while you have a great time meeting like-minded people. Join us in this relaxing and cultural tour around one of the Surrey Hills gems!
