Clara García Gorro

I completed an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and a Masters in Neuroimaging at King’s College London.In 2019 I finished by PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience at University of Barcelona, during which I employed neuroimaging techniques to study the brain of people with Huntington’s disease.After my PhD, I decided to change career and studied a postgraduate certificate in Science Communication at the University of Cambridge, which I recently finished.I have created my own science communication project, “Cerebrotes”, using YouTube and Twitter to talk about the human brain, psychology and the impact of lifestyle on our health.

Estudié Bioquímica en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid y un Máster en Neuroimagen en King’s College London. En 2019 terminé mi Doctorado en Neurociencia Cognitiva por la Universidad de Barcelona, durante el cual utilicé técnicas de neuroimagen para estudiar el cerebro de pacientes con enfermedad de Huntington.Después de mi Doctorado, decidí cambiar de carrera profesional y estudiar un posgrado en Comunicación Científica en la Universidad de Cambridge, el cual he terminado recientemente.He creado mi propio proyecto de comunicación científica, “Cerebrotes”, utilizando YouTube y Twitter para hablar sobre el cerebro humano, psicología y el impacto de nuestro estilo de vida sobre nuestra salud.
