We are looking for the new Head of our Professional Development Department. Contribute to run our Society while you gain new skills and generate a positive impact!
Main duties:
- To oversee and represent at the Executive Committee meetings the committees associated with professional development and any other related committees that might be formed later within the same scope.
- To be the single point of contact with the SRUK committees adhered to this department and to act as liaison between them and the Board of Directors.
- To coordinate all SRUK activities related to professional development.
- To promote the professional development of SRUK members and volunteers.
Secondary duties:
- To coordinate groups and initiatives related to professional development such as the SRUK Mentoring Committee and CienciaUK among others by recruiting volunteers when necessary.
- To explore and develop new initiatives and opportunities within the scope of this department oriented towards the professional development of SRUK members and volunteers.
- To organise and offer professional development courses and programmes ran by SRUK departments and committees, experts or external companies to professionally train SRUK members. When a budget is required for this, the approval of the Board of Directors (including the Treasurer) will be needed.
- To coordinate the promotion on social media and the design of promotion material for outreach initiatives following the guidelines of the SRUK Communications Department and the SRUK Design Committee.
