We are very pleased to announce that the 12th SRUK/CERU International Symposium will take place in York during the 4th-6th of July of 2025, which will be chaired by Sara Franco Ortega. We are looking forward to meeting you all at this unique event, which is planned to be full of excitement and novelty!
To make this Symposium a reality, we are now looking for volunteers to join the Organisation Committee of the event. The SRUK/CERU International Symposium is our Society’s main annual event, a chance for everyone to get together and mingle, to learn about a lot of good research, meet nice people, and have fun.
This year’s theme is “Facing challenges”, and thus we will focus on talking about some of the most pressing research questions and global challenges. In addition, there will be time to discuss the most personal and daily obstacles any researcher has to overcome in their professional lives, including (but not limited to!) resilience development, fighting the impostor syndrome, or learning new skills to share the value of our research projects. This year’s Symposium will include professional development activities for all attendees and the opportunity for SRUK/CERU members to present their research!
All SRUK/CERU members can be part of the Symposium’s Organising Committee. No previous experience is needed. On the contrary, by enrolling in the Organising Committee, you will develop many useful skills such as: organisational and leadership skills, chairing skills, sponsorship management skills, and team working. Not to mention the great opportunity for growing your network and developing institutional relations and collaborations!
And remember, you will not be alone; you will be part of a very welcoming group of people where everyone plays their part and gets support from each other!
