Dr. Elisa Lopez-Capel is a Senior Lecturer in Soil Science at the School of Natural and Environmental Science, Newcastle University. Her research primarily addresses the sustainable utilization of natural resources for food production and the intricate processes of carbon sequestration in soil. Dr. Lopez-Capel became a member of SRUK/CERU in 2022. She is a founding member of the North East constituency and the Environment Committee. Additionally, she frequently organizes SRUK/CERU events, including the XI International Symposium in Newcastle (Summer 2023) and the «Science-me a Story» events.
