Miguel Anaya is a Marie Curie Fellow in the group headed by Sam Stranks at the University of Cambridge, and the Schlumberger Research Fellow at Darwin College, Cambridge. He graduated from Autonomous University of Madrid in 2012 in Physics, and he obtained a M.S. in Materials Science in 2013 at the University of Seville. In September 2014, he was awarded by a prestigious La Caixa Fellowship to fund his PhD for a project related to optical design of perovskite materials and solar cells. His thesis has been recently distinguished with the Prize for Best Experimental Thesis of the GEFES (Spanish Royal Society of Physics).

His research focuses on the optical and electronic properties of emerging semiconductors including metal halide perovskites and other organic semiconductors. He is particularly interested in low-cost, transformative electronics applications including photovoltaics and lighting.
