I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology at the University of Lleida (Spain) in 2016. After that I moved to Glasgow an undertook an MSc in Industrial Biotechnology at the University of Strathclyde. After a short industrial placement at GSK Stevenage, I finally settled in the northwest to start my PhD studies at the University of Manchester. My research is mainly focused on employing biocatalysis for t.he synthesis of industrially relevant chemicals.
I became a member of SRUK/CERU at the beginning on my PhD and I have been actively participating in the Northwest Constituency activities since September 2019.
I am also co-chairing the Northwest Biotech Initiative, a university-based platform with the aim of promoting Biotechnology and entrepreneurship within academia
