Investigación en Foco
“Investigación en Foco” is the first Photography Competition organized by the Society of Spanish Researchers in the United Kingdom (SRUK).
The first edition of the Photograph Competition took place in 2020 with an important number of participants and 4 winner photographs awarded £100 each.

Open competition for SRUK members and SRUK friends submitting a single photograph with a clear research theme.
Photographs will be evaluated in three different categories: originality, technique, and research communication.
The 12 shortlisted photographs (4 from each category) will be selected by an external panel of experts. They will be displayed on the Investigación en Foco website, and they will be used to produce a 2021 calendar.
There will be 4 prizes of £100 each. 3 for the winners of each of the categories (selected by the external panel of experts) and one for the winner selected by SRUK members and friends (e-vote). Please, see below for photograph requirements and eligibility criteria.

This competition aims to reinforce the need and beauty of our daily research in all fields through images and make it more accessible to a broad audience. It represents a unique opportunity for SRUK researchers to capture their work and share it in a different way.
Who can Participate
The call is open to any member (or friend) of SRUK able to capture any particular theme on a research field, including Mathematics, Biology, Medicine and Health, Chemistry, Ecology, and Environmental Science, Physics, Astronomy, Engineering Technology, Humanities, Arts, Social Sciences and Science Communication.
