The 6th edition of the popular mini-symposium organised by the Oxford constituency of SRUK will take place next Thursday 1 st March. In these events, three speakers from different fields give an overview of their professional careers, explaining what they worked on before coming to Oxford, what they are working on now and what their future plans are. These are 10–minute talks followed by questions from the public, settled in a relaxed environment.
On this occasion our three guest speakers are: Carlos Fresneda, lecturer in Mathematics at Oxford Brookes University; Beatriz Jorrín, postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Plant Sciences, University of Oxford; and Sergio Silva, Senior Engineer in the Materials Department at Intertek Production & Integrity Assurance.
This mini-symposium will be held at the Turl Street Kitchen (The Library room, 16–17 Turl Street, Oxford OX1 3DH), starting at 7.30 pm. This event is free and open to the public, so we encourage you to participate.
We look forward to seeing you there!
