The SRUK London constituency is pleased to present this free to attend CineScience on the use of audiovisual tools in science communication.
Dr Pablo Barrecheguren will present the short documentaries that he has recently directed: one about the theatre company OutSide Edge, whose members are drug addicts in recovery, and another about a person with visual impairment and her daily challenges. We will then listen about the utilisation of filming procedures and methodology in storytelling and, more specifically, in science communication. The talk will be followed by questions from the audience.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Dr. Pablo Barrecheguren holds a PhD in Neurobiology by the Institute for Research in Biomedicine (IRB Barcelona) and is an experienced science communicator, having taken creative writing courses at Escuela de Escrituras, Ateneo Barcelonés. He is a member of Big Van, Scientists On Wheels and founder of Soycientific, and a collaborator of Materia in the Spanish newspaper El País. He is currently doing a MSc Science Media Production at Imperial College London.
