SRUK/CERU together with the Society of Spanish Researchers in in Germany (CERFA) and in Denmark (CED) and with the “Catedra de Cultura Científica de la Universidad del Pais vasco”, organized three days of keynote lectures, workshops, round tables and networking opportunities to cover all aspects related to science: from alternative career opportunities for researchers to research mobility, science policy or science communication. More than 250 attendees enjoyed well-known speakers such as Pedro Miguel Echenique (Prince of Asturias Award for Scientific and Technology Research), Nuria Sebastían Gallés (Vicepresident of the European Research Council), Federico Mayor-Zaragoza (former General Director of UNESCO), Carmen Vela (Spanish Secretary for Research, Development and Innovation), Luis Santamaría (President of the “Asociación para el Avance de la Ciencia y la Tecnología en España – AACTE”), América Valenzuela (Science journalist in RTVE), o David del Alamo (The EMBO Journal editor) among many others.
