Mum, I want to be a Scientist III

As part of the activities commemorating the International Day of Women and Girls in Science (11th of February), the SRUK Cambridge constituency is pleased to present the third edition of “Mum, I want to be a Scientist“, this year to be held as a webinar.

WHEN: Thursday 11th February 2021, 18:00 – 20:00 GMT

Four distinguished women, from a variety of fields, will talk about their research and their scientific paths. The speakers include:

  • Jasminka Boskovic: Head of Electron Microscopy unit, Spanish National cancer Research Center (CNIO)
  • Iris Luz Batalha: Co-founder and Director at Women Ahead of Their Time
  • Iria Sala: recently-graduated PhD student in Oceanography, University of Cadiz and Institute of Marine Sciences of Andalusia (ICMAN-CSIC)
  • Joanne Durgan: Senior Post-doc, Babraham Institute

Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session to address the challenges and improvements of gender equality in sciences.
