The Yorkshire and Northwest SRUK constituencies organized the IV Christmas seminar on the 25th of November at the Cervantes Institute in Manchester. On the morning there was a workshop directed by Luis Quevedo, a documentarist and expert science communicator. During the workshop, SRUK members got tips to communicate to the general public. They learned to prepare for an interview, and were put to the test in mock interviews with Luis. After this workshop, Luis Quevedo’s last documentary “In search of a lost future” was screened followed by a round table to discuss about anthropology and audio-visuals in science communication. The round table was moderated by Dr. Margarita Segovia and included Luis Quevedo, Dr. Laura Llorente, Dr. David González and Mr. Thomas O’Mahoney, experts in archeology. The event closed with wine courtesy of the Cervantes Institute.
