The Yorkshire constituency, alongside the British Science Organisation, organised a new CineScience event focused on the topic of social isolation. The film shown was “Sueños de Sal” (Salt dreams), a collage of four stories taking place in a small Spanish town. After the movie, there was an open debate led by researchers and social workers. The film was screened in four different location in Sheffield and the Peak District between the 9th and 12th of March:
- 9th March 14:00-17:00: Dungworth Village Hall (S6 6HF)
- 10th March 14:00-17:00: Hoylandswaine Village Hall (S36 7JW)
- 11th March 18:30-20:00: Foodhall Sheffield (S1 4QW)
- 12th March18:30-20:00: The Crucible Sheffield (S1 1DA)
Across the four events, around thirty people attended the event and participated in the event. The event was possible thanks to support from the Instituto Cervantes.
