Public engagement is hard work and great fun, but does it help you as a researcher? In this session, Dr. Sara Shinton will explain how important it is to take, and make, opportunities to share your work with wider audiences. We’ll look at the funding landscape in the UK and why public engagement is so valued; we’ll look at the opportunities available and who can support you. Finally, we’ll think about how to articulate your skills and experience in job and fellowship applications in the UK and beyond.
