“Art&Science, a SRUK initiative” is travelling to Madrid during the Week of Science.
With the initiative “Art and Science” (ART & Science), we wanted to create a space where scientists and artists can work together, communicate and learn from each other, to finally transmit the scientific knowledge to the general public in a more comprehensible format, suggestive and much less abstract. For this, scientists and artists explored the same scientific question. Their different ways of working and tackling the same study were presented to the public on Saturday, June 17 in London, where the three winning projects were chosen: Common Bio by Marta Fuster and Tomás Di Domenico, Regeneration and Recycling by Jane Frost and Ana López and Seed dispersal in a Fragmented Landscape by Jon Heras and Juan Pedro González-Varo.
The three winning couples of this initiative will be at the Espacio Fundación Telefónica for the Opening Exhibition on Thursday 16th of November presenting their projects together with Anna Vilalta, coordinator of the initiative, in a round table moderated by the journalist América Valenzuela.
The exhibition can be visited at the regular opening hours of the Space in the foyer on the second floor, next to the auditorium, until Sunday, November 19th.
This event will be interpreted to LSE (Sign Language in Spanish), it will be broadcasted by streaming from Fundación Telefónica website and could be followed in social media by following the hasthag #Arteyciencia. To attend, do not forget to reserve your free ticket in the website. Access will be allowed until the capacity is reached.
