Marta Lloret-Llinares, Daniel Thomas-Lopez
Dear members of SRUK in Cambridge,
Next 12th of May, Marta Lloret-Llinares and Daniel Thomas-Lopez will present our next Pint of Knowledge in Cambridge. They both work at the EMBL-EBI and develop training activities in several fields related to bioinformatics and computational biology. Their expertise cover different formats from face-to-face to online courses and webinars. Moreover, these events are for all audiences, from undergraduate to principal investigators. They will tell us about designing the course programs, find speakers, and the importance of post-course feedback and report back about the activity.
In addition to training events, they participate in project meetings, web development and generation of tools for career development.
Overall, it is fun to test new tools in course-management and especially to meet people from everywhere: scientific experts from different fields, members of European projects where EMBL-EBI is involved, and students from all over the world!
