    Press Release: Humanities and Science “diluting the limits”

    The first trip of our life is difficult, painful and traumatic, almost a disease. The foetus has to go through a very difficult passage and is forced to twist and bend to get out completely. Have you ever wondered what is the evolutionary reason why childbirth is painful and difficult or why our children are born as helpless only in our specie? Today at Hughes Hall College in Cambridge the worldwide known paleoanthropologist Professor Juan Luis Arsuaga opened the Humanities and Science Seminar with an enlightening dissertation. He revealed the secrets buried with our ancestors that explain the way of living of our modern society by studying evolution of childbirth. Arsuaga’s talk was followed by an inspiring talk by Professor Rodrigo Quiran-Quiroga described as the “interpreter of neurons”.

    The Society of Spanish Researchers in the UK presents a report of recommendations on R&D to the political parties in Spain

    The president of the Society of Spanish Researchers in the UK (SRUK/CERU), Eduardo Oliver and representatives of the Scientific Policy Committee met this week in Madrid, in separate meetings with the main political parties to give them a report of recommendations on R&D for their consideration in the preparation of their respective programs for the 2015 General Elections.
